MMAE Synagogue to hold Fundraiser to Benefit Israel
This Sunday, Oct. 15, from 9-11 a.m., MMAE Hebrew Congregation in Pikesville will hold a special “mitzvah-thon.” The fundraiser will be held at MMAE, 7000 Rockland Hills Drive.
Donations will go to Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, Magen David Adom and Hatzalah Darom (the southern ambulance corps), as well as to helping supply soldiers with equipment and strengthen the defenses around Israeli towns. Rabbi Yerachmiel Shapiro’s discretionary fund will match every dollar donated. In addition, for every man who comes and puts on tefillin and every woman who dedicates to lighting Shabbos candles, an additional $18 will be donated.
