Perhaps it’s time for you to get totally juiced about The Main Squeeze. Located in Pikesville at 1425 Reisterstown Road, The Main Squeeze is a new eatery focused on healthy food and beverages.
They offer cold pressed juices and cleanses, super-food smoothies, bowls and sandwiches. The latter include a Chipotle chicken panini (ciabatta roll, Chipotle aioli, fire-braised chicken, red onions, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese) and a veggie bomb (toasted multi-grain bread, garlic herb cream cheese, greens, tomatoes, onion, cucumber and peppers.)
The smoothie menu consists of “Going Green,” “Matcha Madness,” “The Beehive” and more. Plus, they have add-on super-food ingredients like bee pollen, turmeric, hemp and goji berries, just to name a few.
(On a personal note, I love that they offer several toasts — almond butter, lox, and avocado and egg.)
Sierra Craig, owner of The Main Squeeze, began juicing in 2018 and delivered her tasty products to area farmers markets and pop-ups. Last June, she opened The Main Squeeze in the heart of the Pikesville community next to First Watch, in the shopping center adjacent to the Giant supermarket on Old Court Road.
Sierra says The Main Squeeze offers great, clean flavors that help people on their health journeys with a changing menu reflecting fresh, seasonal options.
Right now, the restaurant has limited seating, but it will be expanded soon.

The Manor Tavern will work with the Maryland Boys Choir to present a “Spanish Wine Dinner” on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the historic Gramercy Mansion, at 1400 Greenspring Valley Road in Greenspring Valley.

Among the selections featured will be tempranillo, a dry, black grape widely grown in Spain and Portugal, as well as tapas (small plate meals that also originated in Spain).
And if you want to enjoy a great family meal for Thanksgiving — but don’t want all the cooking and cleaning hassles — The Manor Tavern is offering a buffet on Thursday, Nov. 28.
From noon until 7 p.m., the 267-year-old tavern, located at 15819 Old York Road in Monkton, offers a warm and inviting country atmosphere that’s perfect for a family gathering. Savory Scoops
Congrats to Maryland natives Laura and David Alima, owners of The Charmery, on their 11th anniversary. I was there in 2013 when the ice creamery opened on “The Avenue” in Hampden, and they now have multiple locations around town and a stellar reputation. Their motto was — and still is — “Happiness through ice cream.”
Indeed, through personalized hospitality and super-premium, highly original, insanely delicious ice cream, The Charmery aims to bring together local and global communities to help people attain serenity and inner peace through consumption of the sweet stuff.
They offer a seasonal ice cream menu, using ingredients from local farmers and producers, as well as handspun milkshakes, floats and specialty sundaes. Area locations include Hampden, Columbia, Chevy Chase and Towson.
“The Charmery is excited to celebrate 11 years of spreading joy through creative, handcrafted ice cream,” said David Alima, a Beth Tfiloh graduate. “Over the past decade-plus, we’ve been honored to be a part of the community, serving up unique flavors and unforgettable experiences. As we mark this milestone, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers, dedicated team and the community that has supported us from day one.
“Here’s to 11 years of happiness, and many more to come!”
