Documentary ‘Holding Liat’ To Be Presented at Gordon Center
The 2025 American documentary “Holding Liat” will be screened at Owings Mills’ Gordon Center for Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Avenue, on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m.

The film depicts the story of the family of Israeli hostage Liat Beinin Atzili and bears witness to their anguish while advocating for her release. Through their lens, the filmmakers allow the viewer to be a fly on the wall to the family’s inner dynamics, intertwined with the geopolitics of the region.
Last February, “Holding Liat” won the coveted Best Documentary prize at the Berlin Film Festival. The film was presented at the Tribeca Festival in June and has been screened at many film festivals around the world, winning prizes along the way. It was also recently shown on BBC television and screened in theaters throughout the United Kingdom.
“Holding Liat” was made by filmmakers and brothers Lance (producer) and Brandon (director) Kramer, owners of the Washington, D.C.- based Meridian Hill Pictures.
Award-winning filmmaker Darren Arnofsky is the co-producer of “Holding Liat,” and Baltimore Jewish community leader Janine Frier is one of the film’s executive producers.
