Members of the Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company participated in this year’s Baltimore County Police Department 4th Precinct “Project Winter Shield.”

For the community initiative, PVFC members donated funds and shopped for winter coats, hats and gloves for youth in need in this area.
Founded in 1897, the PVFC responds annually to more than 3,500 emergency calls (nearly 2,200 fire/rescue responses and more than 1,300 medical responses), making the all-volunteer organization one of the busiest volunteer fire and emergency medical services provider in Baltimore County and the nation.

Last week on the fifth night of the holiday, members of the PVFC were among those honored at the Chanukah House of Pikesville for their service to the community.
