The cicadas are gone for another 17 years, but the Pikesville Farmers Market is still with us and alive and well.
A community staple presented by the Pikesville-Owings Mills Regional Chamber, the market — located in the front parking lot of the Pomona Square shopping center at 1700 Reisterstown Rd. in Pikesville — is celebrating its 20th season.
The market, which opened May 18, will be held every Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. through Nov. 30.
Among the 30-plus vendors for the 2021 season are Hillside Meadow Farm, McCleaf’s Orchard, Boordy Vineyards, Tovavi Falafel, the Mondel Broad Bakery, Natural Skin Nutrition, the Zoetic Wellness Center, Whimxical Wonders Candies Cupcakes and Confections, Home Baked Goods by Diana, Lil Ria’s Natural Soaps, Europe Restaurant pit beef, Kona Ice, Coffee Del Cerro, Twin Valley Distillers and Classique Jewelry.
Vendors at the market accept SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and FMNP (Farmers Market Nutrition Program) benefits and participate in the Maryland Money Market match program.
