Discussion on Food Waste Crisis at Myerberg Center
Nearly 40% of all food produced in the United States goes uneaten. That’s 145 billion meals and $473 billion wasted annually, while millions of people face hunger on a daily basis.
Join the Baltimore Environmental Sustainability Network on Tuesday, Mar. 25, for a conversation about America’s food waste crisis. “Food Smart: America Has a Food Problem” will be held at the Edward A. Myerberg Senior Center, 3101 Fallstaff Road in Northwest Baltimore.

At this free event, speakers will examine the root causes of food waste in the U.S., its impact on communities and the environment, and what citizens can do to make a difference — at home, in their communities and through advocacy.
Guest Speaker will be Dr Roni A. Neff, an associate professor of environmental health & engineering at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and senior advisor at the Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Center for a Livable Future.
The Baltimore Environmental Sustainability Network is an initiative of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, in partnership with Adamah, bringing together community members to address pressing environmental issues.
