Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce to Hold Annual 5K and Doggie Dash

The Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce — formerly the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce — will present the annual Pikesville Heads & Tails 5K & Doggie Dash on Sunday, Sept. 18, beginning at 8 a.m. This year’s race will benefit the Baltimore Humane Society, an independent non-profit animal shelter offering services for all stages of pet ownership. In more than 20 years, runners and walkers participating in the Pikesville 5K have raised more than $1 million to support local non-profits.
This year’s dash will be held at a new location, the Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills, where runners of all levels, walkers, families and dogs will enjoy a scenic course that traverses the school’s rolling campus. Dogs participating in the race must be dog-friendly and leashed (no retractable leashes allowed) at all times, and owners must pick up after their dogs.
