Jewish Advocate Tessa Veksler to Speak at Chizuk Amuno
Chizuk Amuno Congregation and Schools will welcome nationally recognized advocate and rising Jewish leader Tessa Veksler for the 2nd Annual Ruth and Jay Lenrow Visiting Scholar-in-Residence for Combating Antisemitism on Monday, June 8, from 7–9 p.m., in partnership with Friends of the Israel Defense Forces and The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore.

This event will bring offer a meaningful conversation about antisemitism, Jewish identity, advocacy and resilience in today’s world. Event location details will be shared with registered participants closer to the program date.
The evening’s program will include:
7:00–8:00 p.m. — A compelling conversation with Tessa Veksler and Rabbi Joshua Z. Gruenberg
8:00–8:30 p.m. — Teen discussion and Q&A with Tessa
8:00 p.m. — Dessert reception for adults (running concurrently)
“We are honored to welcome Tessa Veksler to our community,” said Rabbi Gruenberg. “At a time when antisemitism continues to rise around the world and on college campuses, Tessa’s voice offers inspiration, courage, and hope — especially for the next generation.”
The Ruth and Jay Lenrow Visiting Scholar-in-Residence for Combating Antisemitism was established to bring leading voices, educators, and advocates to the community to foster meaningful dialogue, education, and action in response to the growing challenges facing the Jewish people today.
