Panel Discussion on Information and Public Policy
Great Talk Inc. will present a panel discussion on “How Do Knowledge & Flawed Reasoning Influence the Public and Our Leaders? Irrationality, Power, and Privilege.” The talk will take place at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law,
500 W. Baltimore Street.
Founded in 2016, Great Talk Inc. is a nonprofit with the goal of providing a forum and venue for “Conversation With A Purpose in Maryland.”
Panelists will include Elisabeth Bumiller, writer-at-large for The New York Times; James M. Mattingly, philosophy professor at Georgetown University; Yitzhak Y. Melamed, Charlotte Bloomberg Professor of Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University; and Ian Olasov, an adjunct lecturer at New York University’s Center for Bioethics.
Moderator will be Katie Curran O’Malley, executive director of the Women’s Law Center of Maryland.
