Baltimore Celebrates All Thing Django!
The 10th anniversary Charm City Django Jazz Fest — celebrating the musical genius and genre created by Belgian jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and French jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli in the 1930s — will be held on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 24-25.
The first day of the festival will be held at the Baltimore Museum of Art, 10 Art Museum Drive; the second day at the An Die Musik performing space, 409 N. Charles Street in Mount Vernon.
This year’s festival will feature talented Hot Club bands from across the world, including a younger generation of virtuoso musicians who discovered this exciting style of music thanks to its growing popularity on YouTube. Prepare for a weekend of extraordinary performances, education and community that continues Django’s musical legacy.
