Virtual Panel Discussion to Examine Israel’s Trauma Initiatives

Join the Baltimore Jewish Council, The Associated’s Baltimore-Ashkelon Partnership, the Maryland/Israel Development Center, the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) for “Healing a Nation: Israel Trauma Initiatives Post-October 7th.”

This virtual panel discussion addresses how Israeli organizations and nonprofits are responding to the mental health needs of their communities since the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attacks. (On Oct. 7, 2024, The Associated, in partnership with area synagogues, launched a campaign to support the Israel Trauma Resilience Center in Ashkelon, raising more than $850,000.)

Among the panel speakers are Tamar Day, director of of small business support programs at JAFI; Dara Grossman, director of strategic partnerships for JDC’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiative in Israel; Talia Levanon, CEO of the Israel Trauma Coalition; and Avi Rosenzweig, a business development and strategic planning consultant who excels in taking early and late stage health care startups to the next level.
