“It’s Classic” will be the theme of this year’s Community Block Party at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore.
This year’s annual communal celebration will be held on Sunday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Owings Mills JCC, 3506 Gwynnbrook Avenue. (The Block Party will move inside in case of rain).
Thousands of community members have attended Block Parties in recent years.

“Rain or shine, this free, family-friendly festival reflects what the JCC does best — serving as a welcoming convenor for people of all ages and backgrounds,” said Paul Lurie, the JCC’s chief executive officer.
Activities will include a display of classic cars and unique vehicles, giant inflatables, games, a rock-climbing wall and roller skating rink, strolling entertainers, community artists, live music by local bands, and interactive experiences.

In addition, the Block Party will feature local vendors and an array of community partners showcasing their nonprofit organizations. Kosher food and snow cones will be available for purchase.
“We’re especially proud to partner with The Associated and their network of agencies as well as other nonprofit partners who are showcasing their work and engaging families, making this event a powerful celebration of community, collaboration and joy,” said Lurie.
LifeBridge Health will play a key role at this year’s Block Party. The health care system’s theme is “Boardwalk to Better Health” and will feature dozens of providers from a variety of medical specialties and disciplines, ranging from cancer and pediatrics to sports medicine and community health and wellness.
LifeBridge Health will also provide carnival games, prizes, a Teddy Bear clinic and various giveaways.
Other Block Party community partners will include the American Heart Association and the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.
Event parking will be available at Stevenson University, 10945 Boulevard Circle in Owings Mills, with shuttle service provided throughout the entire day.
