Of course, saxophonist Ravi Coltrane is jazz royalty. Yet Coltrane, the son of legendary jazz musician/composer John Coltrane and pianist, organist, harpist, singer, composer and spiritual leader Alice Coltrane, also known as Turiyasangitananda, has built his own formidable career. A 2017 Grammy Award nominee, Coltrane has released six albums and is the founder of independent record label RKM. Don’t miss the chance to see Coltrane and his quartet and support live jazz in Baltimore.

Few bands capture the essence of British post-punk like the Psychedelic Furs. Founded in 1977 by brothers Richard and Tim Butler, the Furs were responsible for iconic songs like “Love My Way,” “The Ghost in You,” “Heartbreak Beat” and “Pretty in Pink.” Here’s your chance to go back to the ’80s for just one night. Beethoven Ninth Symphony with Marin Alsop

Marin Alsop left her position as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s music director in 2021, but you still can see the incomparable Alsop, now the BSO’s music director laureate, conduct Charm City’s hometown orchestra three times a year. In this concert, her final performance of the season, Alsop “reimagines Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony ‘Choral’ as a 21st-century call for unity, justice and empowerment.” The production also includes the inaugural life performance of composer Reena Esmail’s “See Me.”

Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum jazz singer Diana Krall joins the BSO for an evening of sultry song and piano music including selections from her newest album “This Dream of You.” Known as the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart, Krall’s sound is said to transcend any one musical genre.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band drummer and TV personality Max Weinberg (aka, “the Mighty Max”) and his four-piece band grace the stage of the Gordon Center for one special night. In this interactive show, Weinberg invites the audience to make requests from a video menu of more than 200 songs.
