Sense and Sensibility

Jane Austen fans (and everyone else) will revel in Kate Hamill’s delightful adaptation of the celebrated 19th-century British author’s first novel, “Sense and Sensibility.” Directed by Susanna Gellert, the witty yet poignant story of sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood, who struggle to find love and social acceptance after their father’s death leaves them destitute, stars Everyman Theatre Resident Co. members Megan Anderson and Katie Kleiger.

Dream House

This award-winning play follows two Latinx sisters appearing on an HGTV-style reality show with the goal of selling their family home in a quickly gentrifying neighborhood. The show explores the sisters’ complicated relationship while it raises ethical questions about whether it’s wrong to make a profit at the
expense of family history and those left behind. Written by
Eliana Pipes and directed by Laurie Woolery.

Henry V

For the first time in its 20-year history, the Chesapeake Shakespeare Co. presents “Henry V,” the last play in Shakespeare’s Henriad series. Written circa 1599, the play is set in the period just before and after the Battle of Agincourt (١٤١٥) during the Hundred Years’ War. It centers on young Henry V and his army’s attempts to conquer France.
