Daniel Blum, senior vice president of LifeBridge Health and president of Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center, will leave the organization to serve as chief executive officer of a New York-based health care organization.
A New York native, Blum’s final day at LifeBridge will be Dec. 9. He joined the organization in April of 2020.

Leslie Simmons, executive vice president and chief operating officer of LifeBridge Health, will serve as interim president of Sinai and Grace Medical (formerly Bon Secours Baltimore Hospital) until a permanent successor is selected.
Simmons joined the LifeBridge leadership team in 2015 when Carroll Hospital became part of the health care organization. She led Carroll Hospital for two decades in various capacities.
Before coming to LifeBridge Health, Blum, 55, served as president and CEO of Phelps Memorial Hospital Center, a 240-bed regional hospital in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., that is part of the Northwell Health System.
“Dan Blum has led Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center through the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been an unprecedented challenge for health care,” said Neil Meltzer, LifeBridge Health’s president and CEO. “Dan truly cares deeply for our team members, our patients and our communities, and that compassion has been a hallmark of his tenure.
“Along with managing the COVID response at Sinai and Grace, Dan led initiatives around the renovation and expansion of the Sinai emergency department, the opening of The Jill Fox Center for Hope to combat violence and the renovation of Grace Medical Center in West Baltimore,” Meltzer said. “We thank Dan for all that he had done and wish him well in his new role.”
LifeBridge Health includes Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Grace Medical Center, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and related subsidiaries and affiliates, including ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers and LifeBridge Health & Fitness.
